Lisa Desimini

Lisa Desimini is a graduate of NYC’s School of Visual Arts. She has illustrated over 35 picture books, 9 of which she authored. Her credits include: “My House” (which appeared on the New York Times 10 Best Illustrated Books of the Year list), “Love Letters” by Arnold Adoff (a Publisher’s Weekly + School Library Journal Best Book of the Year) and “Dot The Fire Dog,” which has sold close to 400,000 copies. Lisa’s Illustrations have appeared on over 200 book jackets including: The John Nichols Trilogy, Animal Dreams, The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven (by Barbara Kingsolver) and most recently covers for author Charlaine Harris’ bestselling Sookie Stackhouse Series. Lisa’s mediums include oils, acrylics, collage, photography, sculpture and digital and her most recent work has explored the layering of photographs over painted textures to achieve a surreal, otherworldly look. Lisa and her husband reside in Topanga Canyon, CA.
